Birthdays are special days, Y/your birthday is special!  
Birthdays in The Edge are celebrated.

On a submissive's b'days they are over the bench for the evening or a good portion of it (if they wish) and all that wish are encouraged to participate by giving them the gift of a birthday swat...

On the Dom/me's b'days they have a choice, They can bend over and basically offer Their asses to all, to some, to just female/male subs
OR
and this is usually Their choice, all or most of the subs offer their asses to the birthday Dom/me, as a gift.

Basically just a simple swat and all in good fun, fun for all *s*
No one is required to join in the party, but honestly, why would anyone not want to?
